All damage in Idle Wushu is either physical or spiritual. Effect names like Burn or Frostbite are flavor: what matters is the damage type and the extra effect each one carries.

Bleed
Physical damage every few seconds. Stacks up to 5 times for more damage.
Poison
Spiritual damage every few seconds. Stacks up to 8 times for more damage.
Burn
Spiritual damage every few seconds. Often applied to several foes at once by area attacks.
Wither
Spiritual damage every few seconds that grows stronger the longer it lasts.
Frostbite
Spiritual damage every few seconds that also slows the target.
Shock
Spiritual damage every few seconds that ignores the target’s defenses.
Acid
Physical damage every few seconds that also lowers physical defense. Stacks up to 3 times.
Cleanse is your friend against damage-over-time and control. Keep a Cleanse Elixir slotted when fighting enemies that apply them.
Resilience and tenacity are the stats that make you slippery to status effects. Stack them if a fight is built around debuffs.
In a group, a tank uses Taunt to hold enemies, a healer keeps Regen and Barrier up, and damage dealers stack Sunder, Rend, Expose, and Mark to make the target fall faster.
